I had the opportunity to present our early-stage work, “Toward Personalized Assistance for Motor Learning in Physical Human–Robot Interaction,” at the DIP-HRI Workshop at IEEE RO-MAN 2026.
This project is still at the planning stage, exploring how robots might provide personalized assistance that supports human motor learning during physical human–robot interaction.
Since my background is primarily in robotics and AI, I still have much to learn about human-subject research and motor learning experiments. It was therefore especially valuable to discuss experimental protocol design, evaluation methodology, and how to structure future participant studies with several researchers who have expertise in these areas.
I came away with many useful perspectives that will help shape the next stage of the project. Many thanks to the workshop organizers and everyone who shared their insights and feedback!
